Which of the two works to communicate the message about network marketing products?
“You’re face needs some of my antiaging skin care. Want a sample?” – a necessary exaggeration – guaranteed to win hearts and influence people.
“If the small wrinkles and lines that come with aging bother you, enjoy them. If not, use one of our skin rejuvenation teas.”
Different methods of communication get different reactions. You want the right reaction. Just the right words sort out the prospects leaving you with who really wants network marketing and who does not.
Communicate the message about network marketing using the particular audience before you. Talking to real estate professionals requires tools of communication for realtors. Talking to doctors about network marketing requires a message in communication that doctors understand and relate to.
I would not say to the realtor what should be said to the doctor:
“Hey Mr. Realtor. If two-thirds of your staff are tied up dealing with insurance companies and claim forms for patients and you enjoy the headaches…great. If not try a business where there are no insurance forms, no staff to sort it out and get the same amount of money working 20 hours a week.” – I’d lose them out the gate.
I would say to the realtor:
“Hey Mr. Realtor, “if you enjoy overhead, liability and paperwork and having to start over year after year, be my guest. If not try a business where you make your own sales, have unlimited number of agents and no associated overhead and paperwork making 4 X the money you make now working 20 hours a week. Let’s talk.”

If not, try XYZ where you’re paid based on the efforts of others with zero reduction in income and where you work 20 hours a week making 4 X the money you make now. Let’s talk.”
Want one for insurance agents?
“If you want to continue with underwriting ratings and investigating and filing claims, be my guest. If not try XYZ where you build a virtual general agency without the overhead or hassle of hiring supporting agents or supervising them and making 4 X the amount of money a month working only 25 hours a week. Let’s chat.”
How about your banker?
“If you want to continue with a business where time is limited and risk is high with every deal and new client, be my guest. If not try XYZ where you make more money in a year than you would in five years and working only 20 hours a week enjoying the money with family and friends. Let’s chat.”
