Our own Positive Thinking can backfire & keep us broke!

Personal goals are important. We must have a good attitude, be positive, have goals. An open mind to positive thinking expects good and favorable results.
Wonderful things happen when we have an open mind to positive thinking. We feel good. The day is bright and cheery. Life is good.
But…
We can make personal development and positive thinking 97% of our business, and still have no success. Having an open mind to positive thinking can leave us broke.
Positive thinking without skills does not work. Concentrate on building skills and we will build an open mind to positive thinking.
Most people already have a great attitude. And most people are missing skills.
What happens when we have positive thinking and we don’t have skills? Positive thinking goes out the window. Our attitude turns sour. Life sucks. And positive thinking is drained.
What happens when we have skills that make us a success? Our mental attitude is corrected. Having skills that make us successful gives us a right mental adjustment.
You can learn how to think positive thoughts all day long and still be broke. You can have core skills to successfully build Network Marketing, and your attitude will be positive.
So, which comes first? Positive thinking, or skills? Skills come first! Each skill you learn brings daily positive thoughts.
What is the one skill we must learn to be have an open mind to positive thinking? It is what we say.
It’s been said to think positive thoughts. I say learn what to say with prospects to turn NO decisions into YES and you create the power of positive thinking.
What we say to a prospect that builds rapport, breaks the ice, closes and gives a presentation will make us money. A positive attitude does not.
Which of these two works best?
— “Hey Joe, I found a wonderful company that is going to make us filthy rich by selling vitamins to all our friends and neighbors.”
Or,
— “Hey Joe, I just found out how to have more stamina than our competitors and get paid for it. If you would ever like to know how, I would be glad to tell you. Meanwhile, let’s go to lunch.”
Again…
— “Hey Mary, I just joined a great company that works to makes us wealthy talking to friends and coworkers. All you have to do is sign up 2 people in this leg and one person in the other leg, and we will be rich in a month.”
Or,
— “Hey Mary, I just found out how to earn more money part-time than our husbands. If you would ever like to know how, I would be glad to tell you. Meanwhile, let’s go to the park with the kids.”
Notice the difference? One turns prospects off. The other creates curiosity.
And the formula for what to say is simply,
Hey ______, I just found how + a benefit. If you would ever like to know how, I would be glad to tell you. Meanwhile + Break in Communication.
Think good thoughts is alright, but skills are better. An open mind to positive thinking works only when we have the skills to make it work.
