Network Marketers hate asking for appointments partly because prospects hate being “pitched” (sales presentations). So how do we get the appointment and then make a presentation that is painless for th prospect?
Network Marketers hate getting appointments because most of the time prospects never keep them.
Prospects hate sales presentations because:
— It wastes their valuable time.
— It might not be something they are interested in.
— They hate salespeople.
— They hate change, and the presentation is out to change their minds.
— They hate spending money.
— They would rather spend time with their family.
— They are busy and don’t want to add another thing to their frantic lives.
So, when we invite prospects to a sales meeting or presentation, they immediately think, “NO!”
The logical order? Get the appointment first. Give the presentation next.
So how do we get the appointment with the sales resistance prospect?
If our prospects never hear our presentation, our chances of success are slim. Unless we get the appointment to present our message, we are out of business.
Get the Appointment First
We get the appointment with two magic sentences:
— I can give you a complete presentation, but it would take an entire 30 seconds.
— When could you set aside a whole 30 seconds?
Prospects will say YES almost 100% of the time.
Then we give the presentation in 30 seconds.
What prospect can resist a 30 second presentation? Very few.
Why does it work?
— Prospects are thinking, “Get it over with. Tell me now so I don’t have to see video.”
— The prospect’s curiosity peaks with a 30 second presentation.
— The prospect is thinking, “It’s only 30 seconds. I can keep my sales resistance up for a whole 30 seconds.” I will be safe.”
— The prospect is saying, “Give me 30 second presentation now because I don’t want you calling me at home asking for an appointment.”
— The prospect realizes, “Hey it’s only 30 seconds and there will be no time for salesman ship, hype or any of that other stuff.
When we say these 24 words, all the pressure and tension on the prospect is gone. No more drama at an opportunity meeting or a long conference call or webinar.

Give the 30 Second Presentation
If we promised a 30 second presentation, we must give a 30 second presentation.
What do we say in a message that is 30 seconds long? Three things all prospects want.
— What kind of business are you in?
— How much money can I make?
— What do I have to do to earn the money?
Then we add the closing question: That’s it. That is the whole explanation. Well, what do you think?
What kind of business are you in? We are in the health and wellness business, which means, people from around the world drink our healthy teas, coffees, shakes and energy drinks to get leaner, stronger, faster and live a fit youthful lifestyle.
How much money can I make?
We have to ask, “If you were to have an extra income with our business, how much extra income are you looking to make?” The prospect says, “$5,000 a month”
What do I have to do to earn the money? All you have to do is talk to 10 new people a day on social media about our healthy beverages and over the next few 5 months you will have enough people following us in the business and drinking our products every day that you would earn an extra income of $5,000 a month. That’s it. That is the whole explanation. Well, what do you think?
So, let’s put it together.
YOU: Mr. prospect, if you were to have an extra income with our business, how much extra income would you be looking to earn?
PROSPECT: $3,000 a month.
YOU: I can give you a complete presentation, but it would take an entire 30 seconds. When could you put aside a whole 30 seconds?
PROSPECT: Now.
YOU: We are in the health and wellness business, which means everyday people from all around the world drink our healthy teas, coffees, shakes, and energy drinks to get leaner, faster, stronger to live a fit youthful lifestyle. To earn an extra part-time income of $3,000 a month, all you have to do is talk to 10 new people a day on social media about our health products and program for making money with 36 trained words that we teach you to say. After a few days, weeks, and 3 months from now you will have enough people following us in the business on social media and drinking our products every day that you could earn an extra part-time income of $3,000 a month. Our products are child-tested, and mother and father approved. To earn an extra part-time income of $4,000 a month, all you have to do is talk to 15 new people a day on social media about our organic all-natural cleaning products with 36 trained words which we will teach you to say. Over the next few days, weeks, and 4 months from now, you would have enough people following us in the business and using our safe organic cleaners in their homes to earn you an extra part-time extra income of $4,000 a month. Over the next few days, weeks, and 2 months from now, you would have enough people following us in the business and wearing our fitness technology bracelets to earn you an extra part-time income of $2,000 a month.
