“Appreciation Marketing: Building MLM Through Appreciation and Gratitude”
How to Define Appreciation Marketing
How do you define Appreciation Marketing? … it’s a new twist on an old concept in MLM.
What is it?
Gratitude is … appreciation is I CARE! It has to do with loyalty.
What makes you loyal to my MLM business … to the products and services that I sell for my company? The answer is nothing, except for gratitude and appreciation.
If MLM and network marketing are all about starting and building relationships, shouldn’t the heart of relationship building include the perception and attitude that I CARE ABOUT YOU … I APPRECIATE YOU … I’M GRATEFUL JUST FOR KNOWING YOU.
And you can secure a lifetime of customer and team loyalty by exercising a little common sense. What makes yourself loyal is what makes your team members and customers loyal … DUH …right?
Does going through a machine at a particular ATM make you loyal to the bank that owns it? How about a robot that answers you when you call your utility company? Does that evoke loyalty to the utility company from you? NO! It does not.
What does make you loyal is the personal touch from someone who says I CARE.
Do you know the number one reason why prospects and customers in your MLM business do not return or refer you business?
It’s what Curtis Lewsey in his book Appreciation Marketing calls “perceived indifference” … that is your prospects and customers perceive you with having an I DON’T CARE ATTITUDE.
It’s a psychological fact that people are attracted to other people who appreciate them and are grateful for knowing them …they’re drawn to acceptance … gratitude is the best attitude to attract.
What Do You Have Gratitude For?
Be grateful for the mechanic servicing your car … the wait staff that serves you food in a restaurant or fast food joint … your family just for being your family … and the list goes on and on.
And be appreciative of each member in your MLM business and on your team …. Thank your sponsor and the leaders in your upline … and most of all, thank your customers and your prospects.
Because if they like you … if they know you appreciate them … that you accept them … you have not only a friend but a possible new team member to your business or a potential customer who’ll be loyal to you for life.
“Appreciation Marketing Meaning” is doing and being the things that show your prospects and customers that you care, and not just giving them lip service.
Words of thanks and gratitude are not enough … you must demonstrate your appreciation.
Appreciation Marketing Tips that Show Gratitude
What examples of appreciation marketing work best? How best in MLM do you express gratitude?
There are two marketing tips that demonstrate better for MLM than others that you appreciate and care for someone.
One will work OK for you but the other works with the WOW factor built in.
- The OK act of appreciation
- The WOW factor act of gratitude
Gestures are OK but handwritten thank-you notes are a cut above the rest.
Gestures … OK and Just OK…
A gesture is something as simple as a phone call to tell a person “thank-you” for being my friend. It can be an email.
Gestures include sending gifts through mail or a PDF file or report about your MLM business opportunity through email … even an email with a thank-you included is considered a gesture.
What makes a gesture merely a token of gratitude and not the real thing is it lacks the personal touch.
Emails are so impersonal.
The average person receives 30 to 50 emails a day … their getting email overload that’s short-circuiting the brain where they see emails as hindrances instead of being a friend.
They treat emails like spam and the plague … not a good combination at all.
Even gifts received through the mail, and free reports and PDF files about MLM business through email are becoming so blasé and treated like junk mail that many folks throw them in the garbage (cyberspace or otherwise) upon arrival.
The WOW Factor Act of Gratitude…
If you are going to stand out from among the flood of the tricks, tips and strategies for network marketing and MLM, you need to make an asteroid size impact … to be a cut above the rest.
You need to carry weight where others are light weight … you need a WOW factor.
What is it that attracts people to the network marketing opportunity? Gratitude and appreciation? YES! But how best to do this is the real question.
It’s in the personal factor … the one where you DO personal things different than anyone else and that is geared towards the person involved and is for no one else.
What better way to express gratitude and appreciation … to do appreciation marketing … than to write a HANDWRITTEN thank-you note of appreciation and gratitude.
Why a hand-written note?
Because NO ONE ELSE writes by hand anymore… it stands out.
When you receive a handwritten personal note of appreciation and gratitude in the mail, you stand up and take notice immediately. Why? Because it’s different. No one does it anymore.
But you say, “Dale, that’s all great and wonderful, but I don’t have time to write and besides, I didn’t take cursive writing in school? I don’t know how.”
I got you covered …
