How many network marketers say they cannot find new prospects? They claim there are no new prospects in their small town. Prospects make excuses. They claim to have no money. It’s a scam. It’s a pyramid. Whatever the excuse, network marketers find the people who make them.

Customer prospecting requires skill. Recruiting for network marketing requires skills. Skills earn money. Learning the skill of saying the right thing to a prospect makes money.

You walk into a restaurant. Your waitress is polite, eager and full of energy. You feel she is the right person for your team. You approach her by saying:

“I am in network marketing. We sell vitamins and weight loss products. Our travel benefits are the best in the world and you’ll make 4 X the amount of money that you’re making now? Are you open to it?”

The waitress replies, “Excuse me but I have tons of customers waiting on me?’ She has blown you off.

I come in and have skills that you don’t have. I sit with you and speak to the same waitress. I say to her,

“Are you married to your job or are you open minded?

The waitress immediately responds, “I don’t want to be a waitress for the rest of my life. What do you have for me?”

Cha-ching. I find new prospects by saying the right thing. My skill finds leads where others cannot.

There are two kinds of people in the world…those close minded and those open minded. Close minded people…their dreams have been robbed from them by family, friends and their boss. Open minded people are looking for an opportunity to better themselves and the lives of their family.

This one simple prospecting idea which can be taught to anyone will find new prospects when the well seems dry.

“Are you married to your job or are you open to something brand new?”

Follow up with this question: “Have you found the right kind of opportunity that is going to make take care of you and your family for the rest of your life?” The answer opens the door to finding the products and services that your company has available to help fulfill their wants, needs and desires and solve their pain.

To prospect is to have skill in saying the right things. Find new prospects where others fail.

Getting new clients or new reps and customers is just one skillset saying away.

Find new prospects? Say the right thing and go where others dare not tread.
