Want to know how to get referrals when a friend, family or stranger says “no” to your presentation?

It’s a fact …you will get more “no’s” than you will “yes’s” when asking someone to join your network marketing company or buy products.

Wouldn’t it be great to know how to get referrals from those who say “no”? Referrals widen the net to catch more fish. Asking for a referral from a “no-person” gives you more fish to catch and an endless supply of prospects.

The more you ask for referrals from those who say “no”, the more chances you have at landing an 800-lb. Bluefin Tuna to make you rich.

How to Get More Referrals by Saying the Right Things

I send a link of a video presentation about my network marketing opportunity to a new person whom I met and built a rapport. He sees the video and I call him up and say,

“Bob, did you watch the video?” “

“Yes,” Bob replies.

“Great what did you like what you saw and heard?”

Bob says, “This really is not for me. Thanks, but no thanks.”

Nothing I say is going to persuade him otherwise.

Finally, I say, “Okay, cool, no problem Bob. Let me ask you this. Do you know anyone who would want to make extra money if we showed them step-by-step 1, 2, 3 how to do it?”

Bob says, “yes, I do …my brother-in-law needs to make an extra $400.00 to supplement his retirement.”

“Great,” I reply. “Give me his name and phone number and I will call him.” “Do me one quick favor? “Call him and let him know I’ll be calling him and why?”

“Sure,” Bob replies.”

Because I know what to say to Bob, I know how to get referrals from him where others cannot.

What if it is product oriented? I can say to Bob,

“Cool, no problem Bob. Do you know anyone who would like to shed 11 lbs. in 10 days if we showed them step-by-step 1, 2, 3 how to do it?”

If Bob says, “no, I don’t know anyone to refer you,” say, “Typically I get 2 – 3 referrals” and then shut up and wait. Don’t say a word. Bob will give you some referrals.

If you need to give Bob a jolt to his memory to come up with referrals, say,

“Bob, do you know any associates through work, business owners or your closest friends, relatives or your neighbors who would like to make some extra money if we showed them step-by-step 1, 2, 3 how to do it?” (other memory joggers – “members of organizations,” “most successful people,” “people you know,” “people you do business with,” “professionals you know”).

The statement has a profound effect on the prospect. You are telling the prospect that you have a step-by-step 1, 2, 3 method of helping the referral making extra money. The prospect is thinking to himself, “Wow! This must be easy if they show someone in three steps on how to make money. I can do this business.”

It jolts them into a new reality and gets them doubting why they are turning down this opportunity. They may come back and say, “let me hear more about this opportunity or product.” If nothing else, you get more opportunity referrals or boost your customer referrals. You’ll always have a list of client referrals.

How to get referrals and referral business from friends, family and strangers? “Okay, cool, no problem. Let me ask you this. Do you know anyone who would want to make extra money if we showed them step-by-step 1, 2, 3 how to do it?” Simple, duplicable and easy to do to get unlimited prospects and referrals without begging from those who say “no.”
