Your first step towards starting something is to add one new prospect to your list daily. Go out and meet new people. Look up people from your past. Make a new friend on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. It is hard to get discouraged and quit when we have lots of prospects that we are adding daily to our list.

Second, take your first step with network marketing by talking to one person a day about your opportunity and product. In one minute with using the right sequence of words, we can talk about our opportunity and products with great results. The more people with whom you interact and talk to every day, eventually you will find people to join your business and to buy your products.

Third, take your first step by creating content that adds value to your business and products. Write an article for a blog, do a video, make an audio recording, create a newsletter. Do something which helps someone else to solve their problems with solutions that you offer. It creates loyalty. The key to success with network marketing is to find problems which people have and offer solutions for solving them.

Fourth, learn skills and more skills. One of my favorite baby first step quotes is from H. Jackson Brown, Jr. He wrote, “You can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you better know something.” Buy books, go to webinars, subscribe to a blog, and learn daily from things that helps you to learn skills.

These four tasks are the essentials for you to take your first step with network marketing. All four tasks can be started early in the morning and finished by noon so you can take the rest of the day off.

Consistently doing these four tasks will move your network marketing business forward along, and it will start when you decide to take your first step.
